    The APS grade of Member is a marker of quality and high standards. When consulting an APS Member the public can be assured they are working with a reliable and dependable practitioner. You can recognise a Member by the postnominal MAPS.

    You can be an Associate Member (Assoc MAPS).

    Associate Members have completed an APAC-accredited 4th year program, and typically hold Provisional registration. You can recognise an Associate Member by the postnominal Assoc MAPS.

    The APS grade of Associate Member was devised as a transitional one for those progressing towards the grade of Member.

    You can be a Student member.

    You are eligible to become an APS Student Subscriber if you are currently enrolled in an APAC-accredited course or a postgraduate research degree in psychology, such as a PhD.

    You can be an Affiliate.

    The grade of Affiliate is available for people who who have completed a three-year APAC-accredited sequence in psychology only, or
    have completed qualifications in other disciplines acceptable to the Board (for example, if you are registered with AHPRA as a health professional other than a psychologist)
