  • Applications are now open for the Children’s Peace Literature Award

    The Children's Peace Literature Award recognises books in which the main character(s) encourage the peaceful resolution of conflict and /or promote peace at the global, local or interpersonal level. The award is made biennially by the Psychologists for Peace Interest Group South Australian State Subcommittee.

    To be eligible for this award, the author must have published a book for children (up to 18 years) in the two years prior to 30th June in the year the call for nominations is made. Note that this award is only awarded every second year (only odd numbered years). 

    Authors should be Australian or normally reside in Australia.

    Application requirements:
    An application processing fee of $20 (GST inclusive) per title applies (payment to be made via this application form).

    In addition to completing the following application form, two copies of the book must be submitted to:

    The nomination will be considered by the South Australian Subcommittee of the Psychologists for Peace Interest Group if this application form and copies of the book(s) are received by 31 July.
